Yes, it's finally time to post the first song for your feedback.
The only preface would be that it is an intro to "an album", that I started writing 3 years ago and the demo of this song was born somewhere around 2017, when I was hella depressed and had a 7/8 rhythm going on the loop.
The cover was inspired by a 105 F ° corona fever, a possibility of which was around the corner in early 2020.
When I first wrote the 7/8 lead bass loop, I was living in a shipping container and the vocals fully represent all the misery I went through while building a makeshift shipping container home, while getting inspired by architectural digests from Norway and crafty mates from Australian YouTube
I learned a bunch of skills back then, from designing spaces to welding and operating dangerous building tools like a "baby grinder". Who the heck calls an electric circular saw a "baby grinder"?
I also think that I got first introduced to Ableton and was planning to dedicate more time towards making music, but I was more occupied by makings ends meet back then.
So this track is a sort of a representation of my feelings from that period of time - anxious about the mysterious near future, but hopeful towards exciting long-term plans.
This song is posted to the header of the website, but if you already checked my previous blog posts and got here, I think you won't be disappointed if you would subscribe to future posts and updates about my music.
If you already subscribed, your feedback would help me a lot! What did you feel listening to this track? Looking forward to your thoughts in the Discord channel that you could join by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page 🙌
